Dynon Adds Touchscreen D30 Display To Its Certified Product Line

1

The latest addition to Dynon’s Certified product line, the D30 Touchscreen Electronic Flight Display “serves as a backup set of flight instruments in STC’d SkyView HDX systems,” which are now available for installation in more than 600 type-certified aircraft models, according to Dynon.

With a 4-inch diagonal, sunlight-readable, high-resolution touchscreen display, the D30 also includes an integrated backup battery providing as much as five hours of runtime. At 3.7 inches deep, the D30 can be installed in a “slightly modified 3 1/8-inch instrument hole” using a docking ring mounting bracket (see accompanying photo). According to Dynon, “The bracket allows for one-screw installation and removal of the instrument.”

As reported in AVweb sister publication KITPLANES, “Dynon Avionics’ successful SkyView HDX EFIS exists in both Experimental and certified forms, but new installations have been complicated by one fact: The certified system is keyed to the EFIS-D10A, which has been out of production for some time. The solution is the newly introduced D30.”

Retail price, including the five-hour backup battery, is $1,995.

  1. The runup period to Airventure is such an exciting time as individual manufacturers reveal their latest offerings. Great job, Dynon.
