Cirrus Aircraft announced at Aero 2023 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, that it has delivered its 9,000th SR-series aircraft. Lovely aircraft. Out of my price range by a wide margin but I’m glad to share the skies with them. Is that a 4 blade prop in the picture?
Yes, there is a 4-blade STC available for the SR22. I believe it is a composite MT prop. I talked to a guy that had one and he said it helped the climb rate but not cruise speed. He did say it made a really good speed brake when you throttled back on descent.
Congratulations to Cirrus. It doesn’t seem like they’ve been at it long enough to deliver 9000 airplanes! Well done.
