While I’d like it to succeed from a technical point of view, lacking a big-volume-source of eFuels it is such a statement of conspicuous carbon dioxide emissions that I doubt many people want to be seen in it or associated with it.
Although you are correct on increased emissions as it takes a boatload of fuel to fly that fast, I’m guessing that, for the most part, persons who will pay the high toll to fly are doing it for either novelty or speed and probably don’t give a rat’s rear about the emissions.Or, have also paid for “make me feel good” carbon credits. Or all the above.
