Boeing To Provide Tecnam Traveller Parts

Boeing signed an agreement with Tecnam at AirVenture 2019 to be the sole provider of aftermarket spare parts and distribution services for the Tecnam P2012 Traveller. The announcement comes as the first Traveller deliveries are getting underway, with Cape Air, the U.S launch customer for the P2012, officially accepting its first two P2012s last week. The aircraft are the first of a 100-aircraft order for the airline and are scheduled to be ferried from Capua, Italy, to the Cape Air base’s in Hyannis, Massachusetts, in the next few weeks.

“The P2012’s innovative design is ideal for regional airlines and smart operators” said Tecnam COO Giovanni Pascale. “Aligning with Boeing for parts and distribution services is a natural fit to provide worldwide customers with the support they need.”

The P2012 Traveller is an 11-seat commuter powered by two 375-HP Lycoming TEO-540-C1A engines. It has a maximum cruise speed of 194 knots, greater than 950-NM range and useful load of approximately 3073 pounds. The P2012 is equipped with a Garmin G1000NXi-based avionics suite.
