AVweb’s weekly news roundup uncovered reports on new ownership for an aviation training organization in France, an aviation safety program from an aerospace insurance company and the launch of an aircraft brokerage group. The Airways Aviation Group has acquired French aviation education and training organization Ecole Supérieure des Métiers de l’Aéronautique (ESMA). ESMA’s 11,600-square-meter (approximately 124,900-square-foot) campus facility is located at Montpellier Mediterranean Airport. Airways Aviation Group is headquartered in Oxford, England.

Aerospace insurance company Global Aerospace has announced its 2020 SM4 Aviation Safety Program. According to Global, the program will emphasize “the critical issue of business aviation’s talent shortage which creates challenges in attracting, mentoring and retaining professionals who can safely manage, maintain, service and fly business aircraft.” Finally, Dan Dunn has launched corporate aircraft brokerage Adyson Aviation Group. The company has personnel in the U.S., Turkey, Germany, Moscow and the U.K.
