Poll: Does The Military Really Need eVTOL Pilots?

EVtol is about as silly a thing proposed for aviation.

There is no plan b, when the power unit fails (common ground breaks, etc), the vehicle will plummet. Anything over about 25ft will seriously injure the occupants. At least a helicopter has mass in the blades and can autorotate, evtols have lightweight blades.

The vehicles are lightweight, because they are so inefficient they cannot lift anything extra. Wings help, but then there is the transition from propeller lift to swing lift where things can go wrong.

Remember the Moeller Sky Car? The same thing, only electric. Lots of promise, dangerous as hell, lots of money thrown at the problem, almost nothing flying.

Time to put money in projects that will work.
