The key to having a safe “FlightSeeing” flight is to go when the skies are mostly clear so you can “See”. Flightseeing flights into IMC are kind of a waste of money.
I’ve been flying for a quarter century and this is the first time I’ve seen or heard the term “flightseeing,” so if you think it’s a term that’s ubiquitous and that everyone knows, you’re wrong. I can guess at what it means, but since I might be guessing wrong, I won’t answer the question.
The word itself is cutesy and, given that its probable meaning is awfully broad and probably hard to define, I hope this is the last time I see it.
I agree. This is a relatively new term to me as well. I presume it is a paid flight to see some kind of site or is it a volunteer flight to take someone to see their house?
